QED Systems, LLC, is currently recruiting an Electrical Engineer to join our team on Fort Belvoir, VA to support our customer, Project Manager Expeditionary Energy & Sustainment Systems (PM E2S2).
The Electrical Engineer will support the PM E2S2 staff with engineering tasks related to military power equipment.
Duties:
- Perform in all phases of hardware design, development, and documentation.
- Perform fundamental engineering duties in preliminary design, performing tests, taking measurements, and performing system analyses or simulations.
- Apply standard practices and techniques in specific engineering assignments.
- May be required to perform duties associated with Logistical, Mechanical, Production and/or Value Engineering.
- Conduct power requirements evaluations, power system evaluations, and technical measurement collection in a military field environment.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Detailed-oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Experience directly related in design, development, production, or use of military power and distribution systems desired.
Required Clearance:
- ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Secret
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electronic engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline is required.
- Ten (10) years of experience in related activities required.
- An additional ten (10) years of direct relevant technical experience may be substituted for education.
Travel:
Less than 10% travel is expected for this position. Travel may include continental United States and outside continental United States locations.
Work Environment:
This position will be co-located with the customer and other contractors in Government office spaces. Duties also include conducting system evaluation and technical measurements in a military field environment in adverse weather conditions.
Physical Demands:
Physical demands of this position include ability to:
- Be independently mobile.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.
- Withstand prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and computer use.
- Climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.
- Withstand exposure to noise from operating equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full‐time position, Monday through Friday. Flexibility around core hours. Travel may occur outside of normal core hours.

Estimated Salary Range: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00, annually. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. This represents the typical range for this position based on experience, geographic location, and other factors. The final offer amount may vary.
