The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and optimization of electrical systems within our nuclear facilities. This role is essential in ensuring the reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance of our electrical operations.Key Responsibilities: Electrical System Design and Development Design and develop electrical systems and components for nuclear facilities, including power distribution, control systems, and instrumentation.Ensure designs meet all safety, performance, and regulatory standards. System Integration and Implementation Oversee the integration of electrical systems with other operational components and processes.Ensure seamless installation and implementation of electrical systems within existing infrastructure. Maintenance and Reliability Develop and implement maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and longevity of electrical systems.Conduct troubleshooting and problem resolution for electrical system issues. Safety and Risk Management Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for electrical systems.Implement safety protocols and procedures to protect personnel and equipment. Regulatory Compliance Ensure all electrical engineering activities comply with national and international nuclear safety regulations and standards.Prepare and submit required documentation and reports to regulatory bodies. Project Management Manage electrical engineering projects from concept through completion.Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project timelines and budgets are met. Innovation and Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities for improving electrical system performance and efficiency.Implement innovative solutions and best practices to enhance operational effectiveness. Documentation and Reporting Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of designs, maintenance activities, and system performance.Generate reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders. Stakeholder Communication Communicate effectively with regulatory bodies, clients, and internal stakeholders regarding electrical engineering activities.Provide technical support and advice to other engineering teams and departments. Training and Development Develop and deliver training programs for engineering staff on electrical systems and best practices.Stay current with advancements in electrical engineering and nuclear industry standards. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer (CEng)) is preferred.Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably within the nuclear industry or a related high-tech sector.Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in electrical design software and tools.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.Expertise in project management and technical leadership. Additional Requirements: Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.Willingness to travel to various sites and facilities as needed.
