Electrical Engineer

One of our clients in Kitchener-Waterloo, ON region is looking for an Electrical Engineer for their facility.

Shift: Day Shift

Pay - $80K to $100K

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Development:

    • Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical).
    • Design power distribution systems, control panels, and electronic circuits.
  • Project Management:

    • Collaborate with mechanical engineers, software engineers, and project managers to ensure integration of electrical systems into overall designs.
    • Develop project timelines, cost estimates, and technical documentation.
  • Testing & Validation:

    • Conduct simulations, testing, and validation of electrical systems and components.
    • Troubleshoot design issues and recommend solutions to meet performance criteria.
  • Compliance & Standards:

    • Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards and safety regulations (e.g., IEC, NEC, UL).
    • Prepare technical reports and documentation for regulatory submissions.
  • Support & Maintenance:

    • Provide technical support during manufacturing, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and recommend system improvements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
  • GM Programming Certificate: A must-have to succeed in this role.
  • Proven experience in electrical design engineering (5+ years preferred).
  • Proficiency in electrical CAD tools and simulation software.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and circuit design.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards and codes (e.g., IEEE, ANSI, IEC).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
