ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

JOBSUMMARY

We are seeking a highlyskilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team for anEngineering Consultancy role with a focus on FEED (FrontEndEngineering Design) and Detailed Design projects for an EPCContractor. The ideal candidate will have significant experience inthe Oil & Gas industry particularly with ADNOC projects andpossess a thorough understanding of electrical systems designengineering standards and project delivery processes.

JOBRESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Lead the electrical design scope for FEED and DetailedDesign stages of projects in compliance with client specificationsengineering standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Perform electrical system design calculations includingload flow shortcircuit protection coordination grounding andlighting design.
    • Develop and review electricaldrawings technical specifications and projectdocumentation.
    • Ensure all electrical systemsare designed to meet the required safety environmental andoperational standards.
    • Provide technical inputduring the preparation of project proposals and costestimation.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinaryteams (Civil Mechanical etc.) to ensure all aspects of the designmeet project requirements.
    • Participate indesign reviews and ensure that all electrical work complies withinternational standards and ADNOCs specificrequirements.
    • Coordinate with procurement andconstruction teams to support the timely and successful delivery ofelectrical components.
    • Act as the primarypoint of contact for the client (ADNOC) and maintain strong clientrelationships throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Support technical discussions with ADNOC addressing anyelectricalrelated queries or challenges.
    • Ensure timely responses to all client requests for designclarifications modifications or adjustments.
    • Ensure that all electrical designs comply with relevantlocal national and international electrical codes and standards(e.g. IEC IEEE NEC).
    • Adhere to ADNOCsengineering guidelines and quality assurance processes ensuring thehighest standards of safety and reliability in electricalsystems.
    • Participate in safety reviews riskassessments and HAZOP/HAZID studies as required.
    • Provide guidance and technical support to juniorengineers and assist in their professional development.
    • Coordinate and supervise the work of other electricalengineers and design teams.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelors degree in ElectricalEngineering or a related field from an accreditedinstitution.
    • Minimum of 7 years of relevantexperience in electrical engineering with a focus on FEED andDetailed Design for largescale EPC projects.
    • Strong handson experience with electrical system designincluding power distribution lighting and controlsystems.
    • Proven experience working on ADNOCprojects with a deep understanding of ADNOCs standards proceduresand project expectations.
    • Experience in theoil and gas sector particularly within the UAE is highlypreferred.
    • Proficient in electrical designsoftware (e.g. ETAP AutoCAD or equivalent).
    • Indepth knowledge of electrical codes and standards (IECIEEE NEC ADNOCspecific standards).
    • Strongunderstanding of electrical systems such as HV/MV/LV powerdistribution motor control centers (MCCs) instrumentation andcontrol systems.
    • Strong communication andinterpersonal skills capable of working effectively with clientsvendors and multidisciplinary teams.
    • Stronganalytical and problemsolving abilities.
    • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in afastpaced highpressure environment.
    • Professional certification (e.g. PMP Chartered Engineeretc.) is a plus.
    • ADNOCapproved certificationsor familiarity with ADNOCs standards is preferred.
