
Electrical Engineer

On behalf of our Defence client, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the In Service Support (ISS) program for a Maritime project in Darwin. The candidate must be an Australian Citizen and be eligible for a defence security clearance. As a Electrical Systems Engineer, you will Perform electrical design for Above Water Systems vessels to ensure designed products meet customer requirements. Comply with the technical requirements of the design task and ensure tasks are performed within the allocated cost and schedule. Assess and evaluate technical risks and provide seaworthiness assurance. Ensure Electrical engineering tasks are carried out in accordance with all relevant Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental legislative requirements, policies, procedures and framework. About You A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering qualifications. 5 years experience as an Electrical Engineer, preferably within a defence maritime environment. Experience in the use or management of CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) and 3D Modelling software packages. Experience with conducting engineering investigations and technical report writing. Understanding of Defence Systems Engineering life cycle, and ability to communicate effectively with key defence stakeholders, including Commonwealth (CoA) representatives.
