JOB TITLE: Electrical Engineer Co-Op

LOCATION: Hawthorne, NY (on-site)

TYPE: Co-Op (May 2025 – January 2026) OR (May 2025 – August 2025)

COMPENSATION: $24.00/hr - $35.00/hr

Role Summary:

The Electrical Engineer Co-Op will play a key role in supporting the design, development, and testing of electrical systems and components for Clarapath's advanced electro-mechanical device, SectionStar™. This role requires hands-on experience in electrical engineering, circuit design, and troubleshooting, as well as the ability to collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams of engineers. The ideal candidate will assist in creating and refining electrical schematics, testing prototypes, and optimizing electrical performance to support the growth of the company's product offerings. We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented team player who is eager to learn and contribute to the development of innovative solutions in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design, testing, and validation of electrical systems for SectionStar™
  • Develop and refine electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and wiring diagrams
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in prototypes and production units
  • Collaborate with mechanical, software, and firmware engineers to integrate electrical components into the overall system
  • Perform testing and validation of electrical hardware to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications
  • Document findings, design iterations, and test results to support ongoing development efforts
  • Support manufacturing and assembly teams by providing technical guidance on electrical components

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Understanding of circuit design, PCB layout, and electrical schematics
  • Hands-on experience with electrical testing equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Familiarity with embedded systems, power electronics, and motor controls, a plus
