Electrical Engineer I

Job Description Responsible for engineering design activities related to electrical circuits, systems, and equipment within our Electrical Engineering department that is focusing on: power systems,  electric service and supply systems and lighting systems. Our ideal candidates for electrical engineering positions will be actively engaged in designing, maintaining, and enhancing products powered by or generating electricity. They will demonstrate hands-on expertise in working on projects dealing with electricity.  Responsibilities: Design of Electrical Installations: Plan and design electrical systems for various assets, including buildings, water treatment stations, and industrial facilities. Performing Electrical Calculations: Conduct electrical calculations for installations, such as lighting, power distribution, emergency power systems, and fire alarm systems. 3D BIM Modeling: Utilize Revit for 3D BIM modeling of electrical systems across all LOD levels. Specialized Technical Input: Provide specialized technical input for studies and designs within the electrical engineering discipline. Interdisciplinary Review: Participate in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables to ensure comprehensive and integrated designs. Quality Control: Perform quality control reviews of electrical design calculations and drawings. Technical Specifications: Prepare technical specification sections related to electrical systems. Budget and Schedule Input: Contribute to the development of engineering budgets and schedules to meet project requirements.     Qualifications Mandatory: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Master’s degree or additional postgraduate studies in a related field are desirable. Minimum 4 years of professional experience in electrical design for building projects. Strong knowledge of at least one engineering modeling/drafting software. Advanced proficiency in English. Nice to Have: Revit MEP skills. Familiarity with Common Data Environment platforms (e.g., BIM 360, ACC). Experience with clash detection software. Experience in BIM management/coordination.
