    Who You Are…

    As Electrical Engineer I, you are responsible for providing electrical engineering expertise for projects, including design, development, and completion assistance under the direction and guidance of a Senior Engineer.

    This Position…

    Some examples of the work you might do includes:

    • Conducts surveys to gather field data.
    • Supports project analyses, including design, load calculation, life cycle cost, and equipment selection.
    • Creates and interprets drawing prints, schematic drawings, layouts, and other visual aids.
    • Assists in the coordination of mechanical design requirements and constraints with other design professionals, including Architects, Structural Engineers, and Electrical Engineers.
    • Assists in the coordination of the activities of the design with the requirements of the construction teams.
    • Prepares technical compliance documentation required for submission.
    • Produces engineering documents for compliance with engineering standards, defined design criteria, contract requirements, and applicable codes.
    • Assists in the resolution of project issues, scope changes, and field questions, when needed.
    • Ensures required documentation for assigned projects is maintained and archived as appropriate.
    • Maintains a safe working environment and encourages the safety of others, especially at job sites.

    What You Need…

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering (or equivalent).
    • 3+ years of MEP Engineering experience.
    • Engineer in HVAC engineering and application.
    • Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with diverse audiences.
    • Familiarity with applicable federal, state, and local building codes and safety laws.
    • Working knowledge of CAD tools and energy modeling programs.
    • Experience with HVAC load calculation methods, duct/piping/plumbing design, energy modeling, equipment selection, temperature control, acoustics, and other areas of mechanical construction.
    • Willingness and ability to work in the local branch office and make facility site visits for most of the typical work day three to four days a week.

    Work Environment:

    • This position operates primarily in an office environment, and routinely utilizes standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copiers, and printers.
    • Work duties may also necessitate visits to/walk throughs of local job sites, which means intermittent exposure to outside weather and conditions/hazards typically associated with a construction site.

    Physical Demands:

    • In performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, perform repetitive motion, and possess an appropriate degree of both visual acuity and manual dexterity.
    • This is considered a sedentary position, which means possible exertion up to ten (10) pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
