ABOUT THIS ROLE
Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical System Design & Analysis – Conduct engineering calculations, develop single-line diagrams, size electrical equipment, and perform short-circuit analyses to drive project success.
- Technical Drawings & Compliance – Design and refine electrical systems using AutoCAD and Revit while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Project Coordination & Client Interaction – Collaborate with architects, facility owners, and multidisciplinary teams to align project goals and ensure seamless execution.
- Construction Oversight & Field Work – Conduct site surveys, energy audits, and inspections, review shop drawings, and provide construction support to ensure project integrity.
- Regulatory & Code Compliance – Ensure adherence to IEEE, NFPA, Joint Commission, and FGI Guidelines for Healthcare Facilities.
- Sustainability & Energy Efficiency – Support sustainable energy solutions and incorporate green building principles, including knowledge of USGBC LEED ().
The Qualifications:
- 5+ Years of Experience – Proven experience in electrical design for critical care and laboratory facilities.
- Proficiency in Load Analysis Software – Hands-on experience with lighting and electrical load analysis software.
- Technical & Design Software Skills – Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit (), with experience in Building Information Modeling (BIM).
- Understanding of Industry Standards & Codes – Familiarity with IEEE, NFPA, Joint Commission regulations, and FGI Guidelines for Hospitals & Outpatient Facilities.
- Time Management & Adaptability – Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines effectively.
- Excellent Communication & Technical Writing – Strong ability to convey complex ideas, document technical specifications, and prepare reports/presentations.
- Professional Engineer (PE) Licensure – ; must be actively working towards licensure.
