Full Circle is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer II Electrical and Structural to join our team!
Essential Functions
- Engineer and review electrical drawings, plan and profile drawings, grounding, conduit, foundation, and vendor drawings as necessary to facilitate the design and construction of substation facilities.
- Prepare and coordinate the ordering and fabrication of standard and non-standard project material.
- Perform project management functions associated with contract engineering resources.
- Attend kickoff meetings and other site visits to support project work and constructability issues.
- Support the construction, operation, and maintenance of the organization's substation infrastructure through effective communication with field personnel and contractors.
- Interface with inspectors, engineers, construction personnel, warehousing personnel, purchasing agents, vendors and management regarding materials and standards development, procurement, and packaging issues.
- Perform substation facility line ratings applying our organization's internal methodologies.
- Manages basic, standard, or complex engineering projects and studies, ensuring completion by established timeline and at a reasonable cost.
- Prepares engineering and construction packages, including maps, material bills, drawings and work orders.Interprets and applies applicable codes and standards (i.e. Electric Safety Code, Electric Code, etc.)
- Resolves problems during engineering or construction projects to develop sound solutions based on engineering best practices.
- Prepares cost estimates and cost analyses for projects associated with the electric system.
- Performs accurate engineering design calculations and analysis.
- Performs electrical system studies accurately with minimal supervision.
- Researches, develops, and tests electrical material, equipment, systems and networks.
- Develops design options or recommendations for structures, systems and components.
- Reviews and evaluates existing and new technology, engineering methods and operating philosophies for potential system improvement.
- Produces technical reports to document analysis results and engineering recommendations.
- Performs field inspections before, during and after construction.
- Able to use appropriate software and platforms for engineering applications.
- Mentor new employees in electrical engineering.
- Participate in development and stretch responsibilities beyond their duties to foster continuous growth and development.This may include tasks and projects slightly beyond their skill and level.
Education
Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering from accredited college or university.
Experience
Requires a minimum of two (2) years Engineering experience. Prefer utility or power engineering experience.
