Electrical Engineer Marine Experience

Our client from a prestigious VIP private yacht owner is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join his team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance repair and management of all electrical systems onboard a luxury yacht. This role requires indepth knowledge of marine electrical systems a keen attention to detail and the ability to work in a dynamic and fastpaced environment. Key Responsibilities: Design install and maintain electrical systems and equipment on yachts cruise ships and cargo ships. Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting of electrical systems to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with safety standards. Collaborate with naval architects marine engineers and other technical staff to develop and implement electrical system designs and modifications. Oversee the installation and testing of electrical equipment including generators propulsion systems and navigation systems. Develop and maintain documentation related to electrical systems including schematics wiring diagrams and maintenance logs. Ensure compliance with marine safety regulations and industry standards. Provide technical support and training to crew members and other personnel as needed. Manage and coordinate with external vendors and contractors for electrical system upgrades and repairs. Requirements Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 45 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer with specific experience working on yachts boats or other marine vessels. Master Electrician qualification is highly desirable. Indepth knowledge of marine electrical systems including AC and DC power lighting navigation and communication systems. Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills. Familiarity with maritime safety regulations and industry standards. Ability to work in a fastpaced dynamic environment often under tight deadlines. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
