
Electrical Engineering Lead - End-of-Line

POSITION SUMMARY: As a key member of our Electrical Engineering team, you will oversee the Engineering Lead Bus Specialist team who provide direct end-of-line support on the production line to resolve electrical and programming issues discovered during electrical checkout of online buses, especially lead buses. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Oversee a team that addresses electrical engineering issues across five production facilities. Ensure the team complies with the Engineering Lead Bus Specialist process, including proper tracking of issues. Provide technical guidance to team members to help resolve technical issues. Interact with production facilities’ management and production personnel to ensure priorities are aligned each day, including participating or running daily meetings. Monitor the group’s performance metrics to ensure that issues are resolved in a timely manner. Manage and delegate issues among the team to ensure workloads are balanced and timelines are met. Check engineering work, especially PLC programs. Work with suppliers to guide resolution of technical issues related to vendor components. Work with customers to clarify customer requirements and communicate issues and timelines for resolution. Train new employees on their duties and on the vehicle electrical system. WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESFUL: Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma or equivalent. A combination of education and experience will be considered. Five or more years of relevant experience related to essential functions listed above. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with effective interpersonal skills. Working knowledge of software development processes, vehicle electrical system troubleshooting, control systems, and high-voltage systems. Adept with Microsoft Office, PLC programming, Logger, NEXIQ / DLA and/or other related programming software tools. Excellent planning, organizational, problem solving and time-management skills. Demonstrated ability to multitask, effectively prioritize and work efficiently in a high demanding fast-paced team-oriented environment. Travel is required for this position.
