What are your contributions to the team?
Produce preliminary studies and estimates for electrical and automatization projects in varied manufacturing environment
Produce electrical plan
Perform on-site measurement and validations to design the best solution for internal clients
Produce design calculation
Design, verify and approve electricals plans
Produce as built plan after project completion
Ensure support to project manager team
Produce 3D Models and 2D plans of different equipment and systems
Select commercial components
Establish the bill of Material (BOM)
Ensure the technical monitoring of projects in collaboration with other designers, project managers and electricians
Act as technical support for the maintenance team
Participate in the postmortem process with project manager and stakeholders
Provide feedback (post-mortem) on the project to main stakeholders
Participate in the improvement of the existing processes
How to thrive in this role? Skills, knowledge & experience:
You hold an university degree in Electrical engineering
You are member of OIQ
You have five to ten years of electrical design experience
You have skills in 600Vac, 120Vac distribution, Lightning, (network control access) and fire alarms;
You have skills in automation and instrumentation
You have good knowledge of electrical codes and standard
You have organization and teamwork skills
You have very good knowledge of the 3D softwares and AutoCAD. Inventor software is an asset
You are able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
You are bilingual with good abilities for oral and written communication
You work under minimum supervision
You are creative and curious
You have a logical mindset, resourcefulness, detail oriented, rigor and discipline
You have analytical skills and ability to see the overall picture
