DESCRIPTION:
For one of our reputed clients in manufacturing industry, we are seeking four Electrical Engineers for onsite full time positions to be based in Alcoa, Tennessee.
ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Selected Electrical Engineer will provide engineering support to maintenance and operations.
• The successful incumbent will support safety, restoring product flow, providing technical solutions to recurring design and process problems, analyze equipment.
• Electrical Engineer will process data to identify opportunities for improvement, and develop solutions and system improvements to address those opportunities.
• This person will also develop, manage, and implement capital projects, major repairs and maintenance projects and provide some process engineering support.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in an electrical engineering field
• Minimum of 3 years' experience with working knowledge of manufacturing processes and principles
Qualifications:
• Experience with ladder logic and programming/troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s), Rockwell and Allen Bradley PLC experience is .
• Experience specifying, installing and troubleshooting DC and AC motor drives systems.
• Experience with networking equipment, installation, troubleshooting and commissioning. (Ideally as it pertains to Automation Communication).
• Experience with power distribution systems.
• Manufacturing experience in the metals or similar industry, with aluminum rolling or processing .
• Experience with rolling mills and mill controls, shears, strip processing and coiling, metal process furnaces or casting equipment
• Technical knowledge to support the installation, operation, and repair of electrical controls and automation technology.
• Previous experience with data acquisition systems and data analytics
• Experience in justifying, managing and executing capital projects.
• Strong written and oral communications skills.
• Strong problem solving and creative thinking skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
