Service Field Electrical Estimator

Seeking a Service Field Electrical Estimator for commercial service projects in the Washington, DC Metro Area. Due to company growth, this is a unique opportunity to join an established, well respected electrical contractor. The successful candidate will work in a strong team-like atmosphere estimating service projects ranging from a light pole replacement, transformer or meter stack replacement to a large switch-gear replacement.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct site visits, verify electrical equipment used and/or needed
• Estimate project and present project to client, follow-up as needed
• Track estimates and daily activities in CRM
• Price material and subcontractor services
• Prepare computerized cost analysis summarizing material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead cost
• Accurately depict the technical details of material and labor in the estimate

​​Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience estimating service projects
• In depth electrical knowledge and prior field electrical experience
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Able to read blueprints, CAD drawings and specifications
• Computerized electrical estimating experience, McCormick or Accubid experience desirable
• Knowledgeable of job site safety & OSHA requirements
• Knowledge of NEC and local codes
• Proficient on Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• Pass required Drug Screen and Background Requirements
• Stable work history
