Electrical Estimator

Position: Electrical EstimatorLocation: Mississauga, ONOverview:As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in assessing and determining the costs associated with electrical projects. Your responsibilities will include analyzing blueprints, estimating material and labour expenses, and preparing accurate project bids. You’ll collaborate with clients, project managers, and other team members to ensure successful project oues.Responsibilities:Analyze Blueprints: Examine construction drawings and documents to determine wire lengths and suitable outlet placement based on electrical codes.Material and Labor Estimation: Calculate the amount, type, and cost of materials and fixtures needed for each electrical project. Estimate the labour required toplete the work.Profitability Assessment: Evaluate the potential profitability of electrical projects to assist management in making informed bidding decisions.Provide Solutions: Offer viable solutions to increase project profitability.Preparepetitive Bids:plete and submitpetitive project bids in accordance with established guidelines.Cost Database Maintenance: Regularly update cost databases to accurately reflect fluctuating material and labour costs.Evaluate Construction Methods: Assess whether it is more feasible to construct electricalponents in-house or subcontract their construction.Codepliance: Ensurepliance with electrical codes and regulations.Building Plan Interpretation: Read and interpret building plans to determine project requirements.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in construction science, engineering, construction management, or a related field (advantageous).Valid electrician’s license.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent organizational skills.Qualities:Detail-oriented.Sound knowledge of electrical codes.Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.This job description outlines the key responsibilities and requirements for an Electrical Estimator role.If you have any specific preferences or additional details you’d like to include, feel free to customize it further!
