Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the construction process by providing accurate cost estimates and ensuring that projects are completed within budget. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of construction management principles.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers to build comprehensive project plans that align with client expectations.
- Negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best rates for materials and services.
- Utilize software tools such as Office and ConEst (IntellBid) to streamline the estimating process and enhance accuracy.
- Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints and implement cost control measures as necessary.
- Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather information that will inform estimates.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members regarding project scope, timelines, and any changes in estimates.
- Stay updated on industry trends, building codes (including NEC), and best practices in construction management.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the electrical industry is required.
- Proficiency in using estimating software such as ConEst is .
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and practices related to construction projects.
- Familiarity with construction site operations and the ability to interpret technical documents accurately.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable terms for projects.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure precise estimations.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,401.00 - $80,001.00 per year
