Job Title: Electrical Estimator
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator to join the team, responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for electrical construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of electrical systems and construction methodologies, with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously. This role will involve working closely with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure competitive and comprehensive estimates that meet project goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical construction projects, reviewing plans, specifications, and requirements.
- Perform quantity take-offs and pricing for electrical systems, ensuring accuracy and cost efficiency.
- Work with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotes and assess pricing.
- Update and maintain estimating databases, ensuring all cost data is current and accurate.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure estimates align with project objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- Analyze and review estimates from subcontractors and vendors to ensure they meet the project's defined scope.
- Assist in preparing bid packages and tenders for submission to clients.
- Support the project team with budgeting and cost control during the construction phase.
- Ensure that estimates comply with industry standards and project specifications.
- Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to enhance the bidding process.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an Electrical Estimator in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction processes, and estimating practices.
- Proficiency in estimating software and other relevant tools (e.g., MS Excel, estimating databases).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams.
- A diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is .
