Role- Electrical Field Service Engineer \n\n Salary- Circa £45,000 - £55,000 per annum \n\n Type- Permanent\n\n Location- Remote (covering UK and overseas customer sites with occasional travel to their UK offices)\n\n Other benefits – Overtime and Bonus schemes, professional development support and Health Insurance\n\n My client provides electrical services to the power & energy sector, and they are looking to take on an Electrical Field Service Engineer, on a permanent basis.\n\n The Electrical Field Service Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:\n\nNVQ / HND qualification in Electrical Engineering or a similar subject along with relevant hands on Field Service Engineering experience in the industry\nA Degree or Masters would also be desirable\n3 years or more previous industry experience working with electrical power systems and controls and exposure to working on Power sites\nSomeone who is keen to develop their skills and qualifications further with a company\nKnowledge of synchronous machines and relevant systems \nHave a good understanding of power conversion principles\nBe confident in your ability to write technical reports and any required documentation\nFlexible to travel across the UK and outside of the UK too \nBe able to use test equipment to measure equipment performance\nBe a strong team player\nHave strong organizational and planning skills\nHave excellent communication skills to work well with customers\nFull UK Driving LicenceThe Electrical Field Service Engineer role will involve:\n\nTravel in the UK as well as overseas on a regular basis\nWorking with suppliers or with customers onsite working with equipment and carrying out commissioning and maintenance activities\nWorking with electrical test equipment\nTesting equipment to ensure they are compliant in line with the required standards\nProviding expertise in synchronous machine control\nWorking alongside colleagues to deliver a range of projects\nAlways looking to drive continuous improvement\nAnalysing performance data whilst working with the equipment\nOffering technical support to customers over the phone when required\nAlways showing an excellent level of electrical engineering competence\nPerforming risk assessments\nProducing manuals to support the installation and operation of equipment\nWriting technical reports\nProviding mentoring and training to more junior colleagues when requiredIf you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and your salary expectation
