Electrical Inspector

£46,500 basic (£55-£65k OTE)



Our client is expanding and need skilled Electrical Inspectors for nationwide roles. Competitive salary, excellent benefits.



We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Inspector to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in various commercial and industrial settings. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical systems, adherence to safety regulations, and the ability to identify and report on potential hazards and compliance issues.



Key Responsibilities:



* Conduct comprehensive Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in commercial and industrial environments.



* Inspect and test electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, switchgear, and control equipment.



* Identify and document defects, non-compliances, and potential safety hazards.



* Provide clear and concise reports detailing the condition of electrical installations, including recommendations for remedial actions.



* Ensure all inspections are carried out in accordance with relevant standards and regulations, including BS 7671 and IET Wiring Regulations.



* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, legislation, and best practices.



* Communicate effectively with clients to explain findings, answer questions, and provide technical advice.



* Ensure all inspection tools and equipment are maintained and calibrated as required.



* Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety protocols always.



* Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to maintain and enhance technical skills.



Key Requirements:



* A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical inspection or a related field.



* City & Guilds 2391-52 (or equivalent) qualification in Inspection and Testing.



* NVQ Level 3.



* 18th Edition.



* In-depth knowledge of BS 7671, IET Wiring Regulations, and other relevant standards and codes.



* Strong understanding of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.



* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.



* Proficient in using electrical testing equipment and software for reporting.



* Strong written and verbal communication skills.



* Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.



* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.



* Valid UK driving licence (or equivalent, depending on location).
