Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

We're recruiting on behalf of a business in the Sheffield area that are looking to increase their engineering team with a mechanical fitter. This business have grown year on year and have invested heavily in their manufacturing facility and have ambitious plans to replicate this.\n\nThis role is working a 40 hour week on days with a salary of £35,000 to begin then rising to £41,000 after probabation.\n\nResponsibilities\n\n * Reactive and proactive maintenance activities\n\n * Working on a variety of heavy machinery\n\n * Understand electrical systems and diagnose problems/plant faults constructively and accurately.\n\n * Take part in the development, creation and implementation of PPM schedules\n\n * Record daily activities and creation of work orders within the site CMMS,\n\n * Attend and contribute towards daily and weekly planned maintenance meetings\n\n * Identify/specify and order critical parts\n\nQualificatios\n\n * A relevant vocational qualification e.g. NVQ,ONC, HNC, HND, C&G or an appropriate apprenticeship.\n\n * Experience within a medium to heavy manufacturing environment, although applicants from other industries would also be considered.\n\n * Some mechanical experience/qualification or the willingness to undertake mechanical cross skilling training.\n\n * Good fault finding and problem-solving skills essential – electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems.\n\n * Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical engineering drawings.\n\n * PC literate.\n\n * Ability to work within a team and share knowledge.\n\nApply today or contact Elle at Questech Recruitment
