Position Title: Electrical Professional Engineer
Location: Tampa, FL

Job Summary:
We are looking for a talented Electrical Professional Engineer (PE) with extensive experience in electrical system design for a variety of projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience, a PE license in Electrical Engineering, and expertise in MEP/FP design. The Electrical PE will work closely with our team to design and implement electrical systems that are reliable, cost-effective, and meet all necessary safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design electrical systems for commercial, industrial, and residential buildings, ensuring they meet client requirements and relevant codes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on project design, including mechanical, structural, and plumbing engineers.
  • Develop electrical layouts, specifications, and calculations using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Manage electrical system installations and commissioning, ensuring adherence to design specifications and project timelines.
  • Conduct electrical load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and short-circuit studies to ensure systems are properly designed.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and drawings for clients and regulatory agencies.
  • Coordinate with clients and contractors to resolve issues that arise during project execution.
  • Ensure that all electrical systems comply with local, state, and building codes and safety standards.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to electrical engineering.



Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • PE license (Professional Engineer) in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical system design, with at least 4 years required for licensing in Florida.
  • Experience in MEP/FP design and systems integration.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, with preference for Revit experience.
  • US Citizenship or the ability to work in the US without employer sponsorship.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently on multiple projects.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience with managing client relationships, including handling difficult client situations.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $140,000 dependent on candidates knowledge, skills, abilities and experience
