Electrical Project Engineer

As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and management of electrical systems for wastewater and clean water treatment facilities. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that all electrical aspects of the projects are executed safely, efficiently, and within budget.

Electrical Project Engineer Key Responsibilities:

* Design and oversee electrical systems for wastewater and clean water projects, including power distribution, control systems, instrumentation, and SCADA.

* Prepare electrical specifications, system designs, and schematics for the construction and upgrade of water treatment plants.

* Provide technical leadership and support to the project team during the design, installation, and commissioning phases.

* Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and electrical codes and standards.

* Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of electrical components and materials.

* Perform electrical calculations and assessments to optimize system performance and efficiency.

* Review project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

* Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide technical solutions during all project phases.

* Contribute to health, safety, and environmental practices on-site.

Electrical Project Engineer Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field).

* 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in wastewater or clean water projects.

* Strong knowledge of electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).

* Familiarity with water treatment systems and technologies (e.g., pumps, motors, PLCs, and instrumentation).

* Experience with electrical system protection, control, and automation in industrial or utility settings.

* Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

* Excellent communication and project management skills.

* A valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites.
