Idaho National Laboratory's (INL) Construction Quality group is seeking a forward-thinking professionals interested in exploring a career as an Electrical Quality Inspector! Our team works an onsite 9x80s schedule with every Friday off. This position will be located in the office but assignments will require mobility to cover all INL locations. After hours and weekend overtime work will be required, especially during peak construction season, to support the INL mission. Responsibilities Include: • Performance of electrical inspection and general compliance to all subcontract, specification, and drawing requirements. • Provide electrical quality inspection support for INL to ensure compliance with DOE, Company, and customer specific requirements applicable to Quality Inspection. • Perform independent quality assurance inspection functions in support of general construction/project management activities at the INL and at subcontractor facilities. • Provide assistance to Quality Engineers during design reviews and inspection planning. • Provide Inspector Certification activities in support of the INL Inspector Certification Program. • Perform technical reviews to maintain company level inspection procedures are accurate and correct. • Perform in process surveillances of complex wide program work to verify compliance with company quality program procedures. • Work will be performed to instructions provided in inspection planning packages and as directed by management. • Work will be performed independently with little supervision. • Manage several job tasks and schedule accordingly. • Communicate clearly with the customer base including construction and project management, quality engineering, and subcontractors. General purpose is to assure the INL that work is compliant to requirements by verifying and validating work performed by others.Qualifications: Minimum Requirements: • High School Diploma and 6+ years related experience. • A current Journeyman Wireman License • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" clearance, which requires US Citizenship • Will be required to perform overtime inspections on select nights and weekends. • Must certify as a commercial electrical inspector with the International Code Council within 1 year of date of hire • A good working knowledge of electrical testing equipment such as Continuity Testing Equipment, Insulation Resistance (Megger) Testing Equipment, Electrical Torqueing Equipment, and Fiber Optic Testing Equipment • Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary. • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Rad Worker II qualification • Meet minimum requirements as outlined in INL's Quality Inspector Progression Plan for assigned area Preferred Requirements: • Certified as a commercial electrical inspector with the International Code Council prior to start • Master Electrician Job Information • Salary Grade TS0400: 180 ($62,640 - $100,224) / Salary Grade TS0500: 190 ($70,680 - $116,616) • Chosen applicants are required to show a demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment.
