Electrical Service Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an Electrically bias Field Technician for our industrial client who are experiencing significant expansion due to several new contract wins.



This role involves working with a range of engineering equipment and machinery, including Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems, across various industries.



The successful candidate will be a qualified Electrical Engineer who has completed an electrical apprenticeship and has one or two years of relevant experience.



Key Responsibilities:



* Conduct Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) checks on various types of equipment, including both simple workshop machinery and more complex systems (primarily working as part of a team).



* Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues at customer sites, providing detailed reports on your findings and solutions.



* Perform electrical and mechanical installations, modifications, and upgrades to equipment and systems as needed.



* Handle the electrical and mechanical commissioning of systems and machinery following installations.



Equipment Experience Required:



* Woodworking and Metalworking machinery



* LEV systems with fan and filter units



* Variable Speed Drives, Soft Starts, Star/Delta & DOL Units



* Pressure Transducers, Switches and Emergency Control Relays



* PLC Units, Solenoids, Single & Three-phase motors



* Bearings, Fans and Impellers



Requirements:



* HNC or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering



* Full UK Driving Licence



* Completion of a recognised electrical apprenticeship



It would be advantageous if you have any of the following (but not essential):



* 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)



* 18th Edition Inspection & Testing (BS 7671)



* ECS Certification



* CSCS Certification



* Experience in steel conduit bending, cable tray, and trunking installation



This is a home-based role, with travel to client sites across Scotland's Central Belt.



Please note that some contracts may require occasional mid-week travel across the UK and this will usually be between Monday to Friday.



The client fully cover travel and accomodation and accommodation will be arranged in advance whenever possible.



You will be provided with a fully expensed company van, mobile phone and tablet as well as all necessary PPE, workwear, test equipment and tools.
