Electrical Service Technician

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Arrow Electric is looking to add a Service Department Technician to our team! This individual will provide effective solutions to electrical issues and perform repairs for our customers. We are seeking a self-motivated professional who can work both independently and collaboratively, while consistently delivering the highest level of service to our clients. This includes:
Inspects customer electrical systems to ensure safety, identify necessary repairs, and provide preventive maintenance.
Repairs electrical systems and/or components following all electrical code requirements
Provides clients with accurate evaluation of electrical needs gives pricing information.
Maintains tools, equipment, and vehicle to ensure items are available and in safe operating condition.
Accurately completes paperwork in a timely fashion including invoices, timecards, proposal forms, and other relevant paperwork required.
Maintains vehicles cleanliness and organization to ensure necessary items are in stock, and to maintain a safe, efficient, and sanitary work environment.
Provide an accurate list of parts used to ensure items are available and inventory levels remain accurate.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent;
Must have a minimum of 3 years residential experience.
Knowledge of maintenance and repairs of residential electrical systems
Understanding of the current regulations within the field.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills on a technical level.
Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a field environment. Electricians may be involved in construction or maintenance usually work a 40-hour, five-day week plus overtime when required. Working conditions can change dramatically from one job to another, varying from indoors in clean conditions to outdoors on scaffolding, and to confined and restricted locations. May require working in extremely bright or inadequate lighting conditions; exposure to contaminants and exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is largely an active role. Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials; Requires repetitive movement; climbing ladders, scaffolds, or poles; standing, walking and running; using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls; and bending or twisting.
SKILLS
First Aid/CPR/AED, Arc Flash, Confined Spaces, Fork Lift, Medium/High Voltage, Project Management
Excellent communication skills, Technical Management, Quality Focus, Ability to use basic Microsoft programs and email, Resource and Time Management, Knowledgeable in materials, methods and tools.
