World Class Defence Organisation based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire (hybrid of Working From Home and Onsite) is currently looking to recruit an Electrical Systems Engineer / Architect subcontractor on an initial 12 month contract.\n\nHourly Rate: £60ph \n\nContract Duration: 12 Months initially and then ongoing and long-term thereafter.\n\nMissile Electronic Architect Job Description:\n\nElectrical Architects/Engineers are involved in all aspects of missile development, from the early concept studies to series production and in-service support. It's an excellent opportunity for someone wanting to build on their engineering experience.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nYou will be responsible for the electrical architecture and requirements for missiles and/or their associated launcher systems with duties including:\n\nSpecifying/determining\nsystem electrical requirements\ninterface definitions and characteristics between subsystems/equipment\npower architecture, including power budget and power profiles\ndata communication and processing architecture\nrequirements for EMC, bonding, grounding and screening\nsignal safety, including routing of safety related signals\nSupporting test and fault-finding activities during compatibility checks, risk reduction, system proving/qualification and integration\nReviewing and authoring reports, guidelines and processes\nDesign assessments and analysis\nWorking to defence/industry standards\nAttending and supporting design reviews\n Alternatively, acting as the Equipment Manager (RMO) for specific electrical/electronic equipment(s) that are part of a missile or launcher system you will:\n\nProject manage the equipment(s) on behalf of the project during development, qualification and manufacture\nOwn the requirements on behalf of the project for the equipment(s)\nProduce Statement(s) of Work for the associated design authority for the equipment(s)\nCreate and update plans showing activities for the equipment(s)\nManage internal & external design authorities for delivery of the equipment(s) hardware, software and deliverables to schedule, cost, quality and performance\nHold regular progress reviews with the design authority for the equipment(s)\nReview qualification verification evidence\nTrack and find resolution to equipment non-compliances\nAttend and support design reviews\n\nSkillset/experience required:\n Technical experience required:\n\nelectrical/electronics\ninterface definitions\nknowledge of defence/industry standards, etc.\ndegree level qualification in a related subject\nsystems engineering\nwriting reportsIdeally this would be within a defence related background, however, experience within other engineering industries will also be considered.\n Experience within these other areas are also of interest but not essential:\n\ndefence\nweapon systems\npower supplies\nactuators\ndata communication\nsensors\nEMC\nHealth Usage Monitoring Systems (HUMS)\nModel Based Engineering (MBE)
