We are seeking an Electrical Technician to become a part of our team! You will assist in performing a variety of duties to support engineering projects through the planning, design, and commissioning of automated control systems. This work is completed in a variety of settings, including at MBI Automation and on the floor at customer facilities.

This is a part-time position; 7:00am - 12:00pm; 3-4 days a week.

Responsibilities:

• Panel Wiring - Layout according to print; mount hardware, wireways and terminal strips; wire all devices according to prints; label stripes and devices. Redline prints as needed.
• Machine Wiring - Mount wireway as required; pull, label, and terminate wires at devices and junction boxes
• Electrical Debug - Check wiring to all components; verify components operate successfully, check operation of systems control device. Assist Controls Engineer during commissioning phase of project.
• Assist in project installs of automated machinery, equipment, and circuitry in industrial or commercial plants.
• Diagnose cause of electrical or machine malfunctions.
• Collaborate with team members to solve developmental problems.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance
• Ensure all electrical components adhere to standards.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in electrical engineering or other related fields.
• Familiarity with electrical schematics.
• Excellent electrical troubleshooting skills.
• familiar with NEC standards is , not required.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Deadline and detail-oriented.
• Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
• Excellent work history and attendance record.
