Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair elevators, lifts, and ramps in accordance with safety regulations
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance
• Provide exceptional customer service and communication while on-site
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years’ experience as an elevator/lift technician or similar role
• Strong knowledge of elevator systems, mechanical components, and electrical systems
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions, read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record with willingness to travel (75%)
• Personal tools/safety gear to utilize at work and a smart phone
• Ability to lift 70 lbs.

Company DescriptionIn 1969, our family business founder Richard Fenton began the company specializing in vehicle modification and repair. Over time, things evolved, and customers started requesting more complex modifications, including those for handicapped accessibility in both personal and commercial vehicles.

Complex vehicle adaptations became the norm and soon the business would evolve again. The same customers requesting adaptations for their vehicles also sought similar modifications for their homes and commercial buildings, which created two very distinct businesses - a high-end vehicle modification shop and a custom lift/elevator installation crew.

As the companies grew together, they also grew apart with highly skilled technicians working on unique trades. It was at this time in the early 2000’s that one company needed to become two and Access Elevator was born. Our team specializes in Stair Lifts, Vertical Lifts and Elevators. Even at its inception, we were already a leader in the accessibility industry - installing hundreds of customized lifts and elevators a year.

Today, Access Elevator president, Sean Fenton, leads the salesforce, office staff, and maintenance technicians in delivering quality solutions our customers can depend on.
