Electrical Testing Engineer\n\nMain duties and responsibilities for an Electrical Testing Engineer\n\nAs an Electrical Testing Engineer you will report to the Supervisor / Contract Manager, and you are the first point of contact between the business and our client. You must have good written and oral communication skills and have a high level of technical knowledge across the electrical industry.\n\nWorking hours are Monday-Friday 08.00-17.00 with weekend work and overtime available upon request!\n\nThe main duties of an Electrical Testing] Engineer include:\n\nCarry out electrical maintenance, repairs, servicing, inspecting, and testing\n\nDiagnosing and rectifying faults\n\nCarry out electrical remedial works\n\nUndertake new electrical inspections\n\nTo action reactive electrical works\n\nTo complete emergency lighting inspections and repairs\n\nCarrying out company works as required and to desired standards\n\nProviding the highest level of customer care and always promoting a good external perception of the company\n\nComplying with company procedures and policies to ensure smooth delivery of our service\n\nProducing reporting on time and to agreed standards\n\nAdhering to the company’s quality management system and recycle correctly and responsibly\n\nExperience & Skills\n\n * UK Driving Licence (required)\n\n * Experience in electrical repair, maintenance, servicing & installations, preferably within the public sector\n\n * A sound knowledge of tools, equipment & materials common to the Electrical Trade\n\n * Current Trade Qualifications\n\n * Good communication skills, both verbal & written\n\n * The ability to interpret schematics and electrical drawings\n\n * IT literate\n\n * A commitment to great customer service\n\nSalary & Benefits\n\n * Competitive salary relative to experience (PAYE)\n\n * 23 days holiday per year, rising to 25 days after two years of employment\n\n * Buy and sell holiday scheme\n\n * Access to a pension scheme\n\n * Vehicle + Fuel card\n\n * Company phone and tablet device\n\n * All plant tools supplied (drills, steps, ladders, heavy duty power tools)\n\n * Time and a half rate for evening and Saturday working hours\n\n * Double time for night-time, Sunday, and bank holiday working.\n\n * Weekend working available\n\n * Availability to out of hours call out rota (£100 standby, £80-120 per callout)\n\n * Flexible working approach upon agreement\n\n * Amazing in-house training programme (member of NICEIC, ECA, BAFE, FIA, etc.).
