Electrical Wireperson / Electrician



Stafford - travel required



30k-50k (plus overtime)



Roles & Responsibilities:



Install and terminate LV, HV, and control cabling to spec.

Wire panels and protection/control systems in substations.

Perform glanding, crimping, insulation resistance testing.

Work to electrical drawings, ITPs, QA documents.

Support commissioning phases where qualified.

Comply with Grid safety rules.

Apply lock-off/tag-out procedures.

Participate in energisation stages.

Persons ( Grid) certification mandatory.

Daily adherence to RAMS, PoWRAs, and ITPs.

Use appropriate PPE at all times.

Participate in toolbox talks, daily briefings, and SHEQ audits.

Report hazards, incidents, and near-misses immediately.

Maintain compliance with site welfare, access, and conduct rules.



Experience



Insulation testers, multimeters, test lamps.

Cable rollers, conduit benders, drum jacks.

Portable power tools, cable pullers.

ECS/JIB Gold Card (not required for wire persons).

Grid Persons qualifications.

18th Edition Wiring Regulations (not required for wire persons).

Awareness of protection schemes.
