Electrical Wiring Tech
Job DescriptionJob Description
While still being a member of the electrical & controls assembly team – the skid wiring role would be more active, running cables and bending and installing conduit on the skids from devices to the enclosures, pulling wire and terminating at the devices and enclosures. The skid wirers are significantly more mobile and requires a bit more creativity – they would be on their feet essentially all day and unlike panel assembly that is very clearly laid out, the skid team is expected to determine the best routes around the skid to run the various cables & conduit. The schematics will identify which wires would go from point A to point B – but not HOW they should be routed, bundled, etc.
Job Responsibilities [include but are not limited to]:
• Build, fabricate, and assemble control panels. Panel types range from small to medium sized assemblies, some standard and some custom per project.
• Install components, subassemblies, and wiring per schematics and specifications. Position, align, or adjust electrical parts to facilitate wiring or assembly.
• Able to read schematics, drawings, and specifications to determine component parts and assembly sequences.
Expectations and Performance:
• Results Oriented
• Quality workmanship in conformance with information provided and/or department standards.
• Wiring should be neat, tie wrapped, and tagged accurately within each enclosure.
