Electrician
Key Responsibilities:
Fabricating, assembling, and installing parts of a ship as per trade requirements
Installing all types of cables (multi-core, single core, co-axial, and fibre optic) and electrical systems (junction boxes, fuse panels, consoles, transformers, switches, etc.)
Cable reeving, cable banding, and cable terminations, and aligning and installing all electrical equipment
Using a range of hand and mechanical tools and equipment to complete fabrication activities
Complying with SHE regulations at all times
Maintaining positive working relationships with team members
Engaging with management to improve work productivity
Ensuring compliance with all new and current work methods to produce the best quality product while reducing time and waste
Job Requirements:
Experience in electrical installation within the maritime or defence sector
Understanding of installing different types of cables and electrical systems
Proficient in using various hand and mechanical tools for fabrication
Strong knowledge of SHE regulations and commitment to maintaining safety standards
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work as part of a team
Effective communication skills to maintain productive relationships with team mates and management
