Electrician \n\nScotland\n\nBrief\n\nElectrician needed for a well-known construction organisation based in Scotland who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Electrician that takes pride in their work with an in-depth knowledge of working on planned and reactive tasks through to completion, including fault diagnosis and sourcing parts where applicable. Must be able to demonstrate that awareness of best working practices and that these are always followed. Additional duties to include, working and managing backlog works, assisting when required for specialist projects.\n\nThe successful candidate must certify authorized Person in Electrical (Low Voltage) this requires the post holder to be trained, certificated and reassessed at regular intervals, usually three yearly and have a keen interest in being an Electrician.\n\nBenefits\n\nSalary: £34,000 - 36,000 per annum\n24 day's holiday\nPension Plan\nCareer Progression \n\nWhat the role entails:\n\nSome of the main duties of the Electrician will include:\n\nWorking directly to the Electrical Supervisor, the post holder will have the required skills to ensure the safe and continuous operation of mechanical, electrical engineering services and building plant as part of a flexible maintenance team, including specialist subcontractors to deliver work to the highest of standards for our clients.\n\nThe main responsibilities include:\n\nEfficiently and effectively performing electrical maintenance of all relevant assets.\nWork will be assigned from a planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedule or in response to a reactive work order raised by our client representatives or our own personnel on site.\nAll planned and reactive tasks will be managed through to completion, including fault diagnosis and sourcing parts where applicable.\nMust be able to demonstrate that awareness of best working practices and that these are always followed.\nAdditional duties to include, working and managing backlog works, assisting when required for specialist projects\nWorking as part of a wider M&E team, there may be a requirement to undertake other tasks that may not be specifically related to electrical systems.

\n\nImpact:\n\nThe objective of the department is to operate and maintain a physical environment in which healthcare can be delivered to the patient. The main elements being the maintenance of both building fabric and services\n\ne.g. external and internal finishes, fittings and fixtures, plumbing, electrical and mechanical services, piped medical gases etc.\n\nWhat experience you need to be the successful Electrician:\n\nStrong Electrical background\nLow Voltage experience\nDemonstrates a sincere positive attitude toward getting things done\nTo work in accordance with the requirements of Scottish Health Technical Memoranda (HTM's and SHTM's); Best Practice Guidance SHTM 00; Electrical Services Supply and Distribution; SHTM 06- 01 and Electrical Safety Guidance for Low Voltage systems SHTM 06-02 and any other relevant statutory compliance requirements \n\nThis really is a fantastic opportunity for an electrician to progress their career.
