Role Overview

As a Solar Electrician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on residential, commercial, and industrial properties. This is a field-based role requiring hands-on technical skills, strong electrical knowledge, and a passion for renewable energy.

Key Responsibilities:

* Install, test, and commission solar PV systems on a variety of properties.

* Carry out inspections, maintenance, and repairs on existing solar installations.

* Diagnose electrical issues in solar PV systems and provide effective solutions.

* Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and company procedures.

* Collaborate with other team members and contractors to ensure project success.

* Provide excellent customer service and communicate technical information clearly to clients.

Essential Criteria:

* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification.

* 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations certification.

* Proven experience in electrical installations, preferably with solar PV systems.

* Strong understanding of electrical diagrams, wiring, and schematics.

* Knowledge of health and safety standards, including safe working practices in the renewable energy sector.

* Full UK driving license.

Desirable:

* Experience with solar PV system installation and maintenance.

* Knowledge of inverter setup and commissioning.

* Solar PV qualification (e.g., City & Guilds Solar PV qualification) is a plus.
