Atalco Gramercy Operations is the leading producer of Alumina in the United States. Our Gramercy refinery produces 1.2 million tons a year of smelter grade alumina (SGA) for the production of aluminum as well as chemical grade alumina (CGA) which is used in a wide array of industrial applications.

We are currently seeking Electricians for our Gramercy, LA refinery.

Primary Function: Repairs, installs and maintains electrical apparatus and equipment throughout the plant. Essential Functions include but are not limited to:

• Analyzing various types of electrical drawings and wiring to determine material or replacement needs and selecting a logical approach to "troubleshooting" and repairing problems
• Laying out, dismantling, installing, repairing and testing electrical apparatus, fixtures, control equipment and wiring throughout the plant
• Making new electrical installations
• Reading and Interpreting blueprints, charts and sketches
• Using welding equipment when necessary to perform work
• Helping train lesser skilled employees in the performance of their jobs.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Highschool diploma or equivalent
• 3 years of previous works experience
• Associate degree in Electrician or Certification
• Must be able to work 12 hour rotating shifts
• Must be able to pass an aptitude test
