Domestic Electrician - Contract Role (Birmingham)\n\nPosition: Domestic Electrician\nLocation: Birmingham\nEmployment Type: Contract \nSalary: Competitive, depending on experience\nStart Date: Immediate\n\nWe are seeking an experienced Domestic Electrician to join our team for a contract-based role in the Birmingham area. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of domestic electrical installations and maintenance projects, ensuring high-quality service and compliance with industry standards. If you have experience working in residential properties and are passionate about delivering safe, reliable electrical solutions, we would love to hear from you!\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nCarry out electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance in domestic properties.\nInstall, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including lighting, sockets, wiring, consumer units, and more.\nConduct electrical testing, inspections, and PAT testing to ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.\nDiagnose faults and carry out necessary repairs efficiently and professionally.\nEnsure all work complies with the latest wiring regulations (BS 7671) and health and safety standards.\nProvide expert advice to customers regarding their electrical needs and solutions.\nComplete necessary paperwork, including certificates for electrical work (EICR, Part P, etc.).\nWork independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines and customer requirements.\nMaintain high standards of professionalism, safety, and customer service at all times.Required Skills & Experience:\n\nProven experience as a Domestic Electrician, with a focus on residential properties.\nFull qualifications, including: \nNVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).\n18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).\nCity & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent) .\nValid ECS/CSCS card.\nExcellent knowledge of electrical systems, fault-finding, and diagnostics.\nStrong understanding of electrical regulations and safety standards.\nExperience with consumer unit installations, rewiring, and electrical fault finding.\nAbility to complete Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) and other certifications.\nFull UK driving license and own tools.\nGood communication and customer service skills.\nHighly motivated, reliable, and able to work independently.Desirable Skills:\n\nPrevious experience working on housing association or local authority projects.\nAdditional electrical qualifications such as EV charging point installation or solar panel installation.Benefits:\n\nCompetitive hourly/daily rate, paid weekly.\nFlexible contract terms and opportunity to work on a variety of projects.\nOpportunity to work with a reputable company on a variety of domestic projects.\nWork in a supportive, safety-conscious environment.Resourcing Group is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy
