TITLE/POSITION: Industrial Electrician

Pay Rate: 30-35
Job Description for Industrial Electrician Position:
- Installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial electrical systems, devices, equipment, and components
- Perform lockout/tagout to ensure safe isolation and verification of zero energy state
- Troubleshoot new and existing electrical systems, including machinery
- Installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of generators, automatic transfer switches, and surge protection devices
- Installation and troubleshooting of commercial lighting, receptacles, panels, circuits, and controls
- Preventative repair and maintenance of electrical systems, devices, and equipment
- Work from instructions using blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
- Test electrical circuits to ensure operability, phase rotation, and conductivity
- Install electrical wiring and components to design and code specifications
- Install electrical components according to the current NEC code
- Operate test equipment like volt/ohmmeters, meggers, and circuit tracers
- Perform other assigned duties ensuring efficient and effective work environments
Requirements for Industrial Electrician Position:
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 4+ years of professional experience in commercial equipment wiring, maintenance, and repair
- Journeyman electrician license
- Experience with 3-phase electrical systems
- Experience with 480/277 volt and 208/120 volt systems
Skills and Experience:
- Associate’s degree
- Knowledge of 3Ø low and medium-voltage power distribution systems
- Experience with common trade hand and power tools and multimeters
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals, schematics, and reports
- Experience using precision measuring instruments
Additional Requirements:
- Work performed in tight quarters, requiring physical dexterity
- Must be able to lift heavy objects, up to 25 lbs unassisted
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to work at elevated heights, up to 30 ft
- Work environment may require exposure to fumes, odors, and noise
