We are looking for an experienced dependable Electrician to join our team. The work location will be throughout the 5 boroughs of NYC. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems in residential properties and businesses. You will also be required to work with a wide range of equipment, including service equipment, panels, circuit breakers, switches, outlets, light fixtures, fans, wires, conduit and cables. As well as troubleshooting and problem solving.

Duties and Responsibilities
Installing, maintaining, repairing, and replacing electrical wiring, lighting, and other components of the electrical system in homes or commercial buildings, including switches, outlets and light fixtures.
Installing electrical wiring and equipment in homes or businesses for appliance circuits, EV charging stations, exhaust fans, and ceiling fans.
Installing and replacing main services including service switches, meter sockets, end boxes and circuit breaker panels.
Installing electrical systems in remodeling and new construction projects, including temporary lighting and power, rough-in and trim-out.
Pulling and terminating cables.
Installing conduit and pulling wires.
Working with GCs and others trades to plan electrical layouts for remodeling and new construction projects.
Ensure that work is in compliance with NYC Electrical Code, Electrical Codes (NEC) and Utility Requirements.
Inspecting electrical systems to ensure they are safe and meet electrical codes and regulations.
Use a variety of tools and equipment to complete projects, including hand and power tools such as drills, screwdrivers, linemens pliers and more.
Installing low-voltage systems as required.
Installing home automation systems, such as those that control lighting, climate control, security systems, and entertainment systems.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics to determine the best course of action.
Test electrical systems and components to identify issues.
Troubleshoot electrical problems and make necessary repairs.
Assist other electricians as needed.
Assign duties and responsibilities to Electrician Helpers.
Adhere to all safety standards and procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Provide excellent customer service and build positive relationships with clients.
Required Requirements and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
5+ years experience and or completion of an apprenticeship program.
4+ years experience and completion of an electrical trade school.
Valid drivers license.
Thorough understanding of the Electrical Code and NYC Electrical Code.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Electrical knowledge: Need to have a strong understanding of electrical systems and how they work. Need to know how to read electrical schematics, understand electrical code and be able to identify electrical hazards. This knowledge is necessary to ensure the safety of the people you work with and the people living in the homes you work on.
Communication skills: Verbal and written communication skills required. Electricians work with other professionals, such as architects, engineers and contractors. Communication skills will help you collaborate with these professionals, explain your work to homeowners and relay job conditions back to the office.
Salary
The current starting salary is $30.00 per hour. Salary range is $30.00 to $37.50. This rate is subject to change.
