About\n\nMy client is a growing contractor delivering high-quality refurbishment, maintenance, and compliance services across the social housing sectors. With a reputation for professionalism, safety, and attention to detail, they are looking to expand our electrical team with experienced, motivated engineers who take pride in their work.\n\nRole Overview\n\nWe are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrical Engineer to join our team. The role involves carrying out a wide range of electrical works including testing, inspection, fault finding, repairs, and small installations across occupied and void social housing properties, as well as commercial sites.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * \n\n Conduct Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in line with current regulations.\n\n * \n\n Perform testing and inspection on electrical systems to ensure compliance.\n\n * \n\n Carry out repairs, maintenance, upgrades, and minor installations.\n\n * \n\n Diagnose and rectify electrical faults in a timely and professional manner.\n\n * \n\n Complete all necessary paperwork and certification accurately and promptly.\n\n * \n\n Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.\n\n * \n\n Communicate effectively with tenants, clients, and site teams.\n\n * \n\n Work independently or as part of a wider site team depending on project size.\n\nEssential Requirements\n\n * \n\n City & Guilds 2391 (or 2394/2395) Testing & Inspection qualification – Essential\n\n * \n\n 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) – Essential\n\n * \n\n Proven experience working within the social housing.\n\n * \n\n Ability to work across occupied and void properties with sensitivity and professionalism.\n\n * \n\n Strong understanding of current electrical regulations and best practice.\n\n * \n\n Full UK Driving Licence.\n\nPreferred (but not essential)\n\n * \n\n Own tools and van\n\n * \n\n NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation\n\n * \n\n ECS / JIB Gold Card\n\nPackage (Permanent Role)\n\n * \n\n Competitive salary of £40,000 – £50,000 (based on experience)\n\n * \n\n Company vehicle or vehicle allowance\n\n * \n\n Company pension scheme\n\n * \n\n Ongoing training and development opportunities\n\nSelf-Employed Option\n\nWe also welcome self-employed engineers.\n\n * \n\n Day rate: £200/day\n\n * \n\n Work schedule: Monday–Friday, standard hours\n\n * \n\n Weekly pay with long-term pipeline of work\n\nHow to Apply\n\nIf you’re a qualified, dependable, and motivated Electrical Engineer looking for a secure position or consistent subcontractor work, we’d love to hear from you
