LJ Electrical Company is an established full-service electrical contractor that has been based out of Kinston, NC for the last 27 years. We are looking for a mechanic to help manage the company fleet.

Responsibilities:

• Repair automobiles, trucks, forklifts, direction drill, excavator, and other motor vehicles
• Specialize in vehicle transmission systems and diesel motors
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance
• Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components
• Perform quality inspections prior to returning the vehicle to the field
• Perform side projects at the shop including clean up, grass mowing, material organization, among others

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a mechanic
• Knowledge of shop equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Employee-owned tools
• Must have the ability to get on military bases and pass a background check
• Forklift and excavator operating experience, further training will be provided during orientation
• Must have extensive knowledge is vehicle systems including AC, electrical, and vehicle computer systems
