This position is for an electromechanical engineer in the SSN(X) Propulsion Components section. Specifically, the groups tasking is to develop another Turbine Generator supplier for the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP) for use on various platforms. The electromechanical engineer will have primary responsibility for aspects of the generator and/or the controls systems. The ideal candidate will have direct engineering experience with rotating machinery, generators, power electronics, instrumentation and control, component fabrication/assembly, component testing, system-level testing, military specs and standards, technical writing, general knowledge of mechanical components, or demonstrate the ability to rapidly learn these subject areas.
