Job Summary

Inspects, repairs, installs, modifies, and maintains electrical/electronic systems, circuits and equipment. May also install and maintain electronic controls for various machines. May also connect wire to circuit breakers, transformers or other components. Checks circuits for proper connections, ensuring electrical compatibility and safety of components. Current knowledge of commonly‐used concepts, practices, and procedures. Must rely on verbal and written instructions and pre‐established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. This position requires someone who is reliable, on time and comes to work every day. Must have own tools— including fluke test meter, drill, wire cutters, etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Maximize system performance and up-time through effective execution of all maintenance-related activities
• Participate in a broad array of electrical and mechanical tasks with minimal supervision
• Support Production Team through basic fault correction coaching and troubleshooting
• Assist in the installation of new or refurbishment equipment.
• Facilitate continuous improvement activities through broad system knowledge and site-specific enhancements
• Maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
• Performs electrical troubleshooting and repair on various equipment and building maintenance.
• Replaces broken or burned‐out lights.
• Repairs or replaces electrical units, including ballasts, as needed.
• Installs conduit, pulls, works with minimum voltage 480V 3 Phase.
• Troubleshoots, rewires, and diagrams motor control boxes.
• Wires start/stop controls and variable frequency drives.
• Provides electrical support to other departments when new electrical equipment is being removed and/or installed to insure safe application.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Required: High school diploma with at 2-5 years experience in relevant electrical and/or mechanical role
• Experience maintaining a light industry production operations
• Strong electrical (3-Phase, 480V, DC and 24V controls) and mechanical skills
• Familiarity with electrics/mechanics in drive technology (motors/gears)
• Familiarity with control technology (controls/inverters)
• Knowledge of wiring diagrams and electrical measuring
• Ability to work in team environment


Scheduling & Availability
• Must be able to work all shifts when an electrical or mechanical problem arises and needs to be resolved.
• Must be able to work on call 24 hr. if unscheduled electrical problems need to be resolved.


Physical Requirements
• Continuous walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and standing
• Lifting, pulling and pushing up to 25 lbs. unassisted
