The Digital Products & Services team designs, builds, and stands up digital solutions across the value chain, that are embedded into business processes to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain high ROI. Guided by PEPSICO’s global priorities, the Digital Products & Applications team create user-centric digital products that can be scaled globally by leveraging the leading technologies, advanced analytics algorithms and latest user research.The Embedded Automation Software Engineer will play a pivotal role in delivering embedded automation solutions that accelerate transformation across PepsiCo.The candidate will be part of our Embedded Automation Software Engineering team with a focus on high-priority initiatives requiring cross-functional skills. This candidate will work closely with the IT, product and user experience teams to develop new solutions across S&T core priorities, ensuring value generation. This role is a part of PepsiCo’s S&T (Strategy & Transformation), Digital Products & Application organization. ResponsibilitiesExecute High-Priority Automation Projects: Directly engage in high-priority projects focused on embedded automation and special project delivery, ensuring rapid deployment under tight deadlines.Develop and Deploy Pilots/POCs: Hands-on creation and implementation of small pilots and proof-of-concepts (POCs). Train users to ensure effective tool usage and readiness in high-pressure situations.Collaborate with Business Partners: Work closely with key business partners to understand strategic needs and implement hands-on solutions that unlock significant business value.Work Cross-Culturally and Cross-Functionally: Collaborate hands-on with diverse teams including User Experience, Product Management, IT, Data & Analytics, Emerging Technology, Innovation, and Software Engineering to deliver comprehensive digital products.Enhance Digital Capabilities with Automation: Focus on hands-on, customer-centric, service-driven digital solutions leveraging process mining and automation to deliver high-value results efficiently.Address Project Challenges: Identify and resolve delivery impediments, risks, and issues hands-on, ensuring timely solutions and maintaining operational integrity under time pressure.Develop and expand DPA capabilities through a customer obsessed, services-driven digital solutions platform that leverages data and AI. QualificationsA Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related fieldMinimum 3 years of experience with Azure DevOpsMinimum 3 years of experience with ServiceNowDeveloping Automations embedded into application support ( incident management, self-healing mechanisms, virtual assistants, proactive monitoring and alerts)Developing Automations embedded into application observability ( logging, tracing)Preferred Qualifications:Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or EngineeringExperience with Azure AutomationsExperience with Power PlatformExperience with data engineering and data visualizationAutomations embedded into DevOps (automated deployment, testing automation)Prior consulting experienceCommanding knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design QualitiesStrong attention to detail and extremely well-organizedAbility to work cross functionally with product, service design and operations across the organizationDemonstrated passion for excellence with respect to Engineering services, education, and supportStrong interpersonal skills, ability to navigate through a complex and matrixed internal environmentExcellent ability to work collaboratively with regional and global partners in other functional unitsAbility to navigate a complex organizationAbility to work well under time pressureInterest in new technologies and solutionsAt PepsiCo, we recognize that our success is driven by our talented and dedicated employees.
