Embedded Software Engineer, Low Voltage Power Management

As an Embedded Software Engineer on the Low Voltage Power Management Team, you will be responsible for delivering high quality embedded code residing on all the Tesla vehicle platforms. You will work on a variety of aspects of embedded programming: controlling power distribution throughout the vehicle, defining and implementing safety systems, reducing LV power consumption to maximize vehicle efficiency, and increasing robustness and reliability of low voltage power distribution. You will join a team of deeply knowledgeable and passionate engineers that strive to build the most robust and reliable embedded systems. You will solve challenging problems in the embedded software space and influence the world's adoption of electric vehicles and energy sustainability.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality C code in a real-time embedded environment


Specify, design, and implement functionality and behaviors of embedded subsystems


Design the software architecture and firmware implementation on hardware through integration, testing and high-volume manufacturing


Hands-on hardware bring-up, system debugging and code optimization


Writing unit and component level tests to ensure proper functionality


Make performance and optimization trade-offs to meet product requirements


Requirements

At least 1 year of relevant experience in embedded design


Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or evidence of exeptional ability in related field


Experience with fundamental hardware components on PCB and their analysis tools


Knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals including circuit analysis and design


Proficiency in C, comprehension of Python


Fluent in software fundamentals including software design and maintainability


Experience with the embedded microprocessor tools


Ability to collaborate and communicate complex technical concepts

Expected Compensation

$111,200 - $246,720/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
