Our Location:

Our Seattle Fulfillment Center (SFC) is located in the heart of the Ikea Commercial District where we have 200,000 square feet of state of the art production and inventory. We maximize our facility with two shifts of production, five days per week. We enjoy a culturally diverse workforce and promote team orientated solutions to delight our customers.

Position is on Swing Shift. Monday through Friday, 3pm to 1130pm. Overtime is available and incentivized during the Peak season. We offer Embroidery Employees the opportunity for performance incentive, up to $4 additional hours per hour.

Job Vision:

As an Embroidery Maintenance Technician at our Seattle Fulfillment Center, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of our Embroidery Machines. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the overall functionality and appearance of the Embroidery Machines, as well as troubleshooting and repairing any mechanical, electrical, or issues that may arise. Your attention to detail and ability to work independently will be essential in identifying and resolving maintenance problems in a timely manner. By effectively managing and prioritizing your tasks, you will contribute to creating a safe and efficient work environment for our employees and customers.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in maintenance and repair work, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting. Embroidery Machine experience highly desirable!
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical wiring, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks that may require lifting, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Qualifications:

  • Certification or vocational training in a relevant field, such as HVAC, electrical, or plumbing.
  • Experience with precision measuring tools and equipment.
  • Experience working in a warehouse or fulfillment center environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
  • Conduct repairs and troubleshoot problems related to equipment, machinery, and building systems.
  • Assist in the installation and modification of various systems and equipment as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inspections.

Skills:

As an Embroidery Maintenance Technician, your skills with an Embroidery Machine - 2 head, 6 head, 12 and 15 head machines and the ability to climb ladders and communicate effectively will be utilized on a daily basis. You will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining various systems, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, and ensuring the overall functionality of the facility. Your attention to detail and problem-solving abilities will be crucial in identifying and resolving maintenance issues. Additionally, your knowledge of building codes and regulations, as well as your ability to interpret technical manuals and blueprints, will enable you to perform your duties effectively. Overall, your skills will contribute to creating a safe and efficient work environment for our employees and customers.
