The Energy Efficiency Program Manager will be responsible for the oversight, supervision, and overall coordination of RPC’s Energy Efficiency programs. The position will manage the contracts and grants in compliance with all relevant State, Federal, and local provisions; build and develop a diverse team of energy professionals; build and maintain collaborative partnerships with funders, stakeholders, agency procured contractors, etc.
Requirements
- High school degree or G.E.D.
- Plan, organize, process and evaluate the work of the program to ensure efficient, timely and cost-effective services
- Strong time management skills to keep projects moving forward consistent with performance goals and budgetary constraints.
- Manage projects and multiple priorities simultaneously
- Analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions, and implement recommendations in support of goals
- Plan, analyze and evaluate programs and services, operational needs and fiscal constraints
- At least two years of experience managing staff and professional work experience in planning, developing, and researching work directly related to program design and administration.
- Completion of Illinois Home Weatherization Assistance Program Training and Certification Program within 6 months of hire date
- Building Performance Institute – Energy Auditor and Quality Control Inspector Certifications, or the ability to obtain them within 9 months of hire date
- Implement programs and manage a diverse team with a productivity and quality control focus.
- Collaborate and coordinate with staff and contractors to ensure processing, outreach, IT systems and staff are aligned to reach common annual goals.
- Superior interpersonal skills including courtesy, listening skills, rapport-building, and respect for diverse opinions.
- Must possess strong skills in the use of common office software for word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Ability to pass criminal background check.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to homes throughout service area on a daily basis.
- Ability to attend community meetings and interpret information presented and shared amongst participants, provide program information at community meetings, provide formal program presentations, and collect and share relevant meeting information with team.
- Effective management, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills necessary to relate well to clients, community members, stakeholders and funders, and to provide supervision to subordinate staff.
- Ability to handle program and client information in a confidential manner and report concerns as mandated.
- Adherence to the principles of EEO and ADA.
- Knowledge and respect for diverse cultures/lifestyles and problems of poverty in the community.
- Proficient in English (spelling, punctuation, grammar).
- Ability to attend worksite regularly to perform job duties and responsibilities.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate program needs including periodic evenings and weekends.
Summary
Status: Full-Time/37.5 hours per week
Schedule: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., M-F (Flexibility is necessary to support the goals of the program.)
Starting Hourly Wage: $26.48
