Rist-Frost-Shumway Engineering, P.C. (RFS), a growing 105+-person consulting engineering firm with offices in Laconia, NH, Boston, MA, and Portland, ME is seeking candidates to join our talented and team-focused staff.


RFS project types include college/university, healthcare, laboratory, private secondary school, public K-12 school, commercial, industrial, government, and historic preservation -- all with a focus on sustainable design.

Energy engineering position requires 5 or more years of experience developing building energy models for the optimization of envelope and building system designs using energy simulation software (eQuest / DOE 2.3 and/or IES Virtual Environment). Experience with regional energy codes, system electrification/decarbonization, utility data analysis, renewable energy systems and life cycle cost analysis using BLCC-5 or similar calculation methodologies is required. Strong technical writing and attention to detail is required to be successful in this position. Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical or Architectural Engineering . Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Building Energy Modeling Professional (BEMP), and/or LEED AP certifications , or the interest in obtaining relevant certifications is desired. (Location: NH, MA, and/or ME offices).
