Energy Engineer, Thessaloniki Airport

Fraport Greece is currently looking to grow its Technical Department Team by hiring a caliber and experienced Energy Engineer . The ideal candidate will be accountable for overseeing new energy-saving projects, ensuring that they are designed, developed, and implemented to achieve optimal energy efficiency and cost reduction. Additionally, the Energy Engineer will support the operation and maintenance of Fraport Greece facilities such as PV Plants and/or Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) systems, ensuring their proper and safe operation.   The role is located in our premises at Thessaloniki Airport (SKG). What you will be doing: Lead the process of the development, design, and/or construction of energy conservation projects ensuring compliance with budget and timeline, conformance to laws and regulations, and adherence to applicable specifications. Take over the operation and maintenance of all company PVs. Conduct audits to identify opportunities for energy conservation and recommend measures to reduce energy consumption across airport facilities. Monitor and analyze energy consumption. Supervise the contractors/staff in implementing energy conservation projects. Stay updated with alternative or renewable energy sources and propose optimal solutions. Prepare project reports and other program or technical documentation. Support the overall operation of AGL (Airfield Ground Lighting) Systems by providing technical support to preventive maintenance activities according to the Preventive Maintenance Plan and corrective maintenance activities regarding the available budget funds. Order spare parts or equipment from the General Contractor to cover the needs identified by the Airport or Duty Engineers. Provide technical guidance remotely to Airports. Requirements Experience & Qualifications: MSc or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or other similar fields. A 3-5 years of solid professional experience as a Project Manager or Project Engineer in Energy saving related projects. Previous experience in Airfield Ground Lighting Systems (AGL) will be considered an asset. Deep understanding of the Greek market in PV and other energy systems and licensing procedures. Fluency in Greek and English (oral and written at a professional corporate level). Computer literacy with advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Fulfilled Military Obligations (if appropriate).
