Engineer, Flight Test Instrumentation







Job Purpose





You will be at the forefront of the next of highly talented engineers at Honda Aircraft Company. You will be given the opportunity to apply your academic and professional achievements to the Design and Development of Flight Test Instrumentation systems. This position affords an expectation of strong personal and professional growth within our lean and agile engineering teams.





Key Accountabilities





You will be working in a fast paced environment, and will embrace constantly evolving tasks and priorities. This will include research, design, assessment, and improvement on electrical wiring systems through to aircraft level troubleshooting and support of a flight test program. You will become a key contributor with rapidly increasing levels of responsibility.





While working alongside highly skilled and experienced engineers, you will be assigned a mentor to ensure your personal development as a Flight Test Instrumentation Engineer. With the full support of your manager, you will take personal responsibility for your continued professional growth and development.





You will be expected to utilize novel approaches to solve complex and challenging problems.





You will collaborate with other engineers, and with other divisions within Honda Aircraft Company. This will require strong communication skills, and a desire to learn and contribute.





Qualifications, Experience, and Skills





Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field of study.





Experience or exposure with electrical wire design/diagram required.





Demonstrate a passion for working on diverse and challenging projects, and display a positive attitude to collaborate with Team members to achieve common goals.

Working Conditions





Incumbents may be routinely exposed to equipment operational noise heat-cold-dust, and/or aircraft equipment, parts, or fuel odors.





Incumbents may be required to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, climb ladders, move, reach, or stretch for prolonged time periods with no restrictions, as required by job duties.





Work in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all regulatory requirements (FAA, OSHA, DOT, EPA, State, and Federal regulations, etc.).





Read, hear, speak, and see with no restrictions, as required by job duties.


 





 





Working Conditions





Comprehend and adhere to management directions and/or safety instructions with no restrictions.





Effectively communicate in Business English .





Pull, push, carry, lift, or move items up to 10 lbs. throughout the work shift without assistance, as required by job duties.





Pull, push, carry, lift or move materials/people/items/equipment weighing up to 50lbs or more during the work shift, with the use of Company provided “reach assistance technology” or “movement assist technology” (fork-lifts, pallet jacks, pulleys, dolly’s, robotics reach equipment, people movers etc.), as required by job duties.
